Great rental for big groups!

We spent five nights at the White House on the Horseshoe for a family vacation and it was excellent! The location cannot be beat. You are steps from the river through your private access gate. Also, the part of the river you come out to is shaded with lots of space to lounge, and the water is deep enough in that area to swim or drop in on your tube. We were able to watch/listen to a concert at Whitewater from our balcony on Saturday. You can definitely hear the bass from inside the house with the doors closed, but it’s not overwhelming and did not interfere with those that went to bed before the show was over. The house itself was spotless with more than enough space for a big group. The fact that each room has its own bathroom and thermostat is a major plus. Our group spent much of our time sharing meals and doing puzzles on the long tables, and playing games or just chatting on the comfy sofas. We really enjoyed watching through the floor to ceiling windows as a storm rolled in on one of the days we were there. The only issues we had are that the cookware is pretty worn with the nonstick coating flaking off, and also there is no storage in the kitchen for pantry items or in the bedrooms for your clothes. Even so, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

Weekend friends and family gathering

Nice location close to several hiking trails. We loved back yard and deck that overlook the river. The kitchen was nice with huge center counter and enough spaces for our group of 14 people move around. The house is open floor plan, very nice for large group activities. Every room has its own bathroom that is a big plus for every family. The property well maintained and clean. Easy communicate with manager. We had a great time here.

Great property & great location!

We rented this property for the weekend of my son's wedding. It was exactly as described on the listing. We appreciated how each room had it's own private restroom and thermostats. We had adults and children for this stay. Each family member/friend was able to have their own space. The location is ideal for enjoying the river view, fishing and hanging out. The kids caught fish and roasted marshmallows, the adults hung out inside and outside around the firepit. Linens were plentiful and the property was clean. We'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful, spacious and well located property.

Amazing Home for Large Group

Stayed at this beautiful property with our large family for Thanksgiving 2023. The house is beautiful and seems newly renovated and was in excellent condition. The gathering space is HUGE with 2 giant dining tables that actually allowed all of our party to sit together for our big meal. The kitchen was beautiful with fantastic appliances. I would say that the counter space and electrical outlets weren't as plentiful as I would have liked, but just my opinion. There were 8 large bedrooms that provided plenty of space to sleep for everyone. I thought the beds were a little hard, but some in my party enjoyed them. The only "minor" complaint is that there is no community bathroom to use - each bathroom is in a bedroom suite. The outdoor space was gorgeous and the fall foliage and river were about as beautiful as it gets in South Texas. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend this property for a large group gathering. A perfect spot to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Labor Day Weekend Stay

We enjoyed every bit of the property. The home and location couldn't get any better!!!!!
Only two negatives are
1. There is not enough seating in the living room for a large group.
2. There is only 1 oven which makes it difficult to cook for a large group.

Great family reunion

This is an amazing eight bedroom eight bath house. Each bedroom has its own thermostat. The house was very clean, very nice linens on the 15 beds. The kitchen is well appointed. It includes a large, ice maker, two refrigerators, two dishwashers and two microwaves. The house is located on the Guadalupe River at the end of the horseshoe. We’re all tubers must exit the river, and it was wonderful to be able to walk up directly from the river to our house. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and the other seven bedrooms each have two queen beds It’s a short drive from the house to Newbraunfels and the small town of Gruene. This is our 4th year to stay in the house with our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren— 23 in all.

We rented this house for a big family get-together, and it was close to perfect. The house is beautiful and very well maintained, as well as being very clean. Check in/out was a breeze. The amenities were all as promised, and we had a wonderful time. Bonus—if you are planning to do REAL cooking, this is the place for you. It has two refrigerators, two sinks, two dishwashers, a huge island, a six-burner range, and an ice-maker!

It is perfect for our family of 21 people. For each couple
To have their own bathroom and thermostat is amazing. The common area is large enough that you don’t feel crowded even when everyone is in that space. One thing they don’t have is ESPN and the golf channel on TV. Our whole family enjoys watching tennis and golf. It would be a plus to add these channels!! Being able to tube and end up at our house is great. This year there was a concert—Pat
Green—at the outdoor venue right across the River from our house. So we were able to hear everything and really enjoyed the music.

A Breath of Fresh Air in the Hill Country on the Guadalupe River

Our six children and eleven grandchildren were able to gather under one roof with each family in their own room with private bath. The large island and 2 refrigerators made food storage and meal prep a breeze and the grandkids loved sitting with their cousins on the benches! The Sonic ice machine was awesome when packing coolers for Schlitterbahn, Canyon Lake and playing in the river. Our large family made lots of memories at the White House!

FAMILY TRIP TO THE HILL COUNTRY

Our family trip included 20 people from age 82 to 10 months. The house was Perfect in every way. Each couple having their own bedroom and bath with double sinks and having their own thermostat made everyone so comfortable. The location on the river is perfect. To start tubing is a 10 minute walk from the house. The best part is that u end up at the back gate of the White House. Amanda was great to work with and she got us everything we asked for
In the way of outdoor chairs and tables. Due to the Carona Virus we cooked all of our own meals. There were good pots and pans for this but more glass bowls to serve in would have been nice. There were plenty of dishes, mugs, glasses and flatware. Having 2 refrigerators and dishwashers was great and we loved having the sonic ice machine. I would recommend this house to everyone!!

A group of four families got together for a Spring Break trip, and this house was the perfect place for our gathering. It has 8 bedrooms each with own bathroom, so it is perfect for a big group get-together. The kitchen was fully stocked and we loved the hugs dining tables for our meals. Whoever their interior designer was did a fantastic job! We felt like we were staying at a house straight out of a magazine. But the kids were comfortable and right at home. The backyard was a fun space for the kids to run around, and we actually dipped into the river even though it was pretty chilly. Owners were super responsive to any questions we had. Lovely Cozy Home on the River

Whitehouse on the Horseshoe was gorgeous! My dearest girlfriends and I had a lovely time. The location, perched on a hill overlooking the beautiful river and concert hall, was spectacular. My daughter and her friends enjoyed playing on that hill. Although too cold to jump in, who isn't calmed by just looking at peaceful running river water? The kitchen and abundant amenities were fabulous. I wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely look into renting this house again for a Hill Country family vacay during the summer. Perfect house for groups!

We loved our stay at The White House on the Horseshoe! It was the perfect place for our group of 17. There is so much space and it is beautifully decorated, just as pictured! We spent most of our time at the house and enjoyed all the amenities. It is right on the river and would be a perfect place for the summer. Would definitely recommend this house!!
